Meaning of kiwicha

It is the quechua name of a Amaranthaceae plant, with small, edible and nutritious seeds, originating in the Andes. It is also known as Quihuicha. quigueicha, amaranth or turkey mucus. Its scientific name is Amaranthus caudatus. It should be noted that in some Andean regions kiwicha is also called quinoa, whose scientific name is Chenopodium quinoa.

KIWICHA amaeanthus caudatus in Peru : it is a plant native to Peru, amarataceae, leaves, stem and purple, red and golden flowers. Amarantos in Greek means alwaysviva, name that receives because the boxes do not wither. It reaches up to 3 meters. height. It is cultivated in Ecyador, Bolivia and Argentina.
