Name given to the members of a Colombian indigenous community, settled in the Department of Arauca, in the municipalities of Arauca and Puerto Rondón. This people is also called Hitnues or Macahuanes (Hitnu and Macahuán ethnicities). They live on the banks of the River Ele.

It seems like a plural for the Jitnu people who live in Colombia, but I don't know if it's spelled correctly.
