Part of the house destined to the cultivation of plants and especially those that have flowers. A place where flowers abound. In Education, the place where young children receive their first lessons. Kindergarten. In mining, it is a stain that tarnishes or detracts from the value of an emerald. In Sailors toilet or toilet of ships.

1st_ Garden of ornamental plants and flowers. From the French garden (pr. yardén), which is a diminutive of the archaic jart ("orchard"). 2º_ An old name for the toilets on fishing boats that consisted of a board with an outboard hole inside a sentry box with a door. According to tradition, the name comes from the previous meaning, because of the plants they used inside to absorb the stench. 3º_ Stain, fissure or natural inclusion in the emerald stone.
