In Colombia Jacaranda, is one of the common names receiving a tree very showy blue or purple flowers in summer. Its scientific name is Jacaranda copaia, belongs to the family Bignoniaceae. It also receives other names like little Peacock, Tarco, Jacaranda, Gualanday, Chingale. It has medicinal uses, is a great antiseptic and astringent.
