isoecoica

1 " Iso " means " equal " and " echoic " refers to the sound or better to " echo " receiving the ultrasound device. When we say that something is isoechoic ( or hypoechoic or hyperechoic ) We have to establish that " equality " with regard to another structure, body etc. 2.-isiecoicaEs a term used in diagnostic imaging, ultrasound study. All tissues of the body have the ability to return a sound reflection to a transmitter of ultrasound (ECO ) not audible, which was detected and is electronically modified in an image. ( the same principle as for the sonar to detect shoals of fish by fishing boats ). Now, if a tissue returns the same signal strength other tissue, in the images displayed equal contrast or color so say so.Water and liquids of similar density in ultrasound referred to hipoecoicos because they emit little eco and see them black. solid tissues such as bone or calculations viewed white and are referred to as Hiperecoicos, remaining tissues have an intermediate density between black and white and are compared among them ( a fabric a little dark to another is more hypoechoic than the other, or one more white to the other is more hyperechoic, if a fabric has a very similar contrast to each other is isoechoic )
