In Colombia Royal Palm, is a Palm which hats are made. It is also known as jipijapa, pipi, shawl, or Puerto Rico. Its scientific name is Carludovica palmata and belongs to the family Cyclanthaceae. Among Indians Muisca Kingdom or territory ruled by Cacique Suamox (Sogamoso).
