It is the name of an indigenous people and their culture, which inhabited Center of the Valle del Cauca Department in Colombia. It is also one of the common names of the tree Annona macroprophyllata and its fruit, also called that Cherimoya or anon and that belongs to the family Annonaceae. In language Náhuatl means old, old.
