The word "Hallaca" comes of the guarani and derived of the word "representative" or "ayuar" that means mix or stir, of these words is presumed that "ayuaca" is a thing mixed, that by deformation linguistic step to call is "ayaca". Another version claims that the word comes from an Aboriginal language in the West of the country, which means "wrapping" or "bojote".
