Meaning of hot pot

It is a Chinese pout, presumably of Mongolian origin. They are vegetables, meats, mushrooms, seafood cooked in broth. the popular name hot pot (jotpot "hot cup") in the rest of the world, is an English translation of Chinese 28779; 38149; ( huoguo ), formed by the voices 28779; (júoo "fire" ) 38149; ( gooo "pot" ) . Or maybe it was the other way around.
