It is also known as Ukrainian Holocaust or Ukrainian Genocide. National Tragedy of Ukraine, occurred between 1932 and 1933 in which between 2 and 5 million Ukrainians died of physical starvation, due to the policies of Joseph Stalin. It affected other regions of the Soviet Union and affected almost 12 million people. The word Holodomor translates to "starve to death."
