It means single finger (equal fingers). It is the name of a genus of night lizards or geckos belonging to the family Eublepharidae.
Holodactylus : Genus of geckos of the eublefarides family who inhabit some African countries. They are nocturnal and terrestrial and feed on insects. The female lays two soft eggs which she subsequently burys.
