Name of an asteroid 692. It is the name of a genus of ladybugs, belonging to the family Coccinellidae. The most representative species is the Hippodamia convergens native to North America. In Greek mythology Hippodamia was the wife of Pelops and daughter of the Olympian king Oenomaus.
