COMPENSATORY INHERITANCE . Ambiguous expression, since it is the extinction of a compensatory pension for purposes of receiving an inheritance that equals or exceeds it in actual profits. A judicial opinion determines whether or not it happens and rules judgment that terminates the pension if compensation is effective. The compensatory pension has as a reason the redress of the economic imbalance that can result in separation or divorce in one of the spouses.
