The correct term is epigastriocele. The prefix hepi, with h, does not exist. EPI means above, over. Epigastrocele means nodule, tumor, cancer, hernia in the epigastrium (upper part of the stomach, close to the sternum).
Hepigastrocele: Hernia, formed as a result of a separation of the fibers of the white line in the epigastric region.
