It's a cell union. Them hemidesmosomes are unions focal (as points of welding) that bind cells epithelial to the matrix extracellular that complies the blade basal. The union takes place thanks to the family of proteins called integrins. These structures are found distributed in the woven epithelial and help to distribute the resistance and the force exerted on it.
