In Biology and especially in Entomology it is the name of a type of modified wings of some insects, especially of the Order Diptera (mosquitoes and mosquitoes). They are also called halteres. They are small club-shaped structures (claviformes). Type of weights used for exercise.

Halters is like the English known alos nbsp; halterios nbsp; these are structures broadly clavate nbsp; that possess true flies ( Diptera ). The halterios are the nbsp; wings nbsp; later modified. These structures contain the nbsp; cordotonales organs , which are simple positional organs that indicate the animal its spatial position. In the case of the nbsp; mosquitoes , the halterios and no halters is them often called seesaws.
