It is the name of a genus of reptiles ( lizards) belonging to the family Phyllodactylidae (Before they were classified in the family Gekkonidae). The word means blood dragon. They are only found in the Socotra Islands of Yemen.
Haemodracon : Genus of geckos of the family of the phyllodactyrides of nocturnal and arboreal customs and live in the archipelago of Socotra.
