guindola . ( From guindar ). 1. f. Mar. Small flying scaffold consisting of three tables that, together and hung by their edges, they embrace a stick, and is used to scratch it, paint it or do any other similar work. 2. f. Mar. Apparatus lifeboat fitted with a long string which whip is subject aboard and is hanging out at the stern of the ship and can be quickly launched into the water. Usually carries a light that turns on automatically to release the device, that can be seen at night by the person who is attempting to save.
