guanábano . ( Of the Taino wanaban ). 1. m. tree of the West Indies, of the family of the Anonáceas of six to eight metres in height, with beautiful, straight trunk of smooth bark and grey dark, leaves lanceolate, glossy bright green above and whitish below, large flowers of yellowish-white, and heart fruit of greenish bark, weak barbed, white flesh with very pleasant flavourcoolant and sugary, and black seeds.
