It was an ancient way of referring to a condition of hermaphrodite plants. Plants whose stamen is born the pistil . In Medicine, it is defined as "female pseudohermaphroditism produced by an androgenic stimulus in women". Clitoral hypertrophy. Woman presenting bulging external genitalia, somewhat similar to that of man.
