GIG ECONOMY gig originates in the musical medium and refers to small musical participations or bowling. Applied to the world of work refers to small short and specific jobs within a project. The gig economy was born in the United States as a result of the 2006 Sub Prime economic crisis, which forced new forms of hiring.
