It is the decorative and edible accompaniment of a dessert, cake, ponqué or cake. It can also be special dishes. It is also used as a decoration as an enhancer or contrast of the flavor.

GARNITURA from the English garnish (verb from s . XIV and sust . from 1596), and this from the Old French garnir, which adopted it from the althochdeutsch warn?n/varnen, 'to draw attention, to warn'. Final and edible decoration that is made to a cake, a dish, a fountain, an ice cream, a dessert or a drink, in order to improve the presentation and, sometimes, the flavor.
