Forest genetic resources
Forest genetic resources or tree genetic resources are genetic materials of shrubs and tree species with current or future value. Forest genetic resources are essential for communities dependent on forests that derive a large part of their livelihoods of forest products timber and non-timber ( for example fruits, rubber and resins ) for their food security, for income generation and domestic use.
