It is said to be an animal parasitic disease, which can be transmitted to humans and come from horses, canids, ruminants and pigs. The infection is acquired through a few worms, which are found in aquatic or semi-aquatic plants (particularly watercress, alfalfa, lettuce, and spinach) when ingested raw or undercooked.
