It is a type of physiological adaptation of some living organisms to overcome the summer season. It can be called sthiathiage dormancy or summer latency. Stying. During this period the living organism suspends most of its activities and metabolism, in order to overcome the summer. An example may be falling foliage from trees of many tropical species or the burial of reptile species among the mud in summer time.
