STEREOTOMY the word stereo comes from the Greek stereos which means solid, although in Spanish it is used for audio equipment that has two or more output channels. Tomos is to cut, from where it derives collections or books of several volumes. Stereotomy means, literally, cutting of solids. Despite its Greek roots, it is a word created or composed at the end of the seventeenth century. 2 .
