1º_ It is another variant of escarihuela ("very irregular mountain road"). It is also said of the place where dead horses are thrown, without burying them. See also bleach.

It is also possible to use the terms escarihuela or carihuela. It is a term used to designate very narrow and steep roads or paths, built in zigzags on very steep or steep mountain slopes, sometimes being necessary to carve rock or stone. It is mostly used in the regions of Granada and Murcia in Spain.
