It is the branch of science that is dedicated to the study of changes that turn genes on or off without changing the DNA sequence, due to age and exposure to environmental factors. Some of these factors include diet, exercise, medications, and chemicals. These changes change the risk of disease and are sometimes passed from parent to child.
