CHAGAS DISEASE It is an infectious disease that is transmitted through the chipo infected with the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi /C] . The chipo transports the parasite in its intestine, bites the person (usually by a VINCHUCA) and leaves feces in the bite. When scratched the feces penetrate the skin and the parasite reaches the blood, transporting through it to the heart.
