"Golden". The dorado or pirayú (Salminus brasiliensis) is a freshwater fish with a salmonoid body, robust, yellow-orange scales and silvery or whitish belly that inhabits the river basins of South America. The largest specimens recorded were around 25 kg in weight and 1.20 meters long.
