Turmequé: Colombian municipality located in the Department of Boyaca, its name is due to u indigenous word which means "Vigorous, strong " and in general they called it to the chieftain. and that resisted the colonization by the Espanoles.al putting the word high, metaphorical way is usually say to people that they come from strong, vigorous, place of resistance. also used to be in a place high in the Colombian mountainous system ( system cundi-boyacense )
