On the coast of the province of Granada, (Almuñecar, Motril ) and I think that also in the coast of Almeria and Malaga ) the term was used " chambao " to refer to the beach bars that were installed under a rustic framework of rods supported by wooden poles to protect themselves from the Sun. These settlements were often installed on the sand, and their owners used to remove them once the summer season.
