The term chilapo do refers to migrants from the Department of Cordoba, which arrived in Uraba; Although, by extension, in the same form the morenos and paisas are called bolivarenses, sucreños and, in general, those from the Caribbean coastal departments; conglomerate of migrants considered as part of a homogeneous culture. The entry of the chilapos to the Uraba began at the dawn of the 20th century, but determining wave which would substantially transform the social dynamics of the Urabá Antioquia was until the 1960s with the development of the landslide banana industry.
