"Chonismo" is a colloquial word used in some Latin American countries, especially Mexico, to refer to a form of behavior, fashion, or attitude associated with vulgarity, class lessness, or bad taste. In other words, "chonismo" can be thought of as a set of cultural traits that are characterized by being vulgar, exaggerated, or tasteless. For example, excessive use of flashy jewelry, tight and revealing clothing, or aggressive or smug behavior could be considered examples of chonismo. In some regions, the word "naco" is also used as a synonym for chonismo. However, it is important to note that this word may be considered offensive or discriminatory in some contexts.
