It is the action of shelling or crumbling a "tender" corn, removing or detaching the grain from the olot manually or mechanically. The artisanal form is manually with a knife; currently there are automatic industrial machines for potting. The word Cimar is used only for tender corn. Some synonyms, words or similar expressions can be from Portuguese ralar, from Spanish to grate, to crumble
