Meaning of chiriguillo by Nora Sosa

Nora Sosa

chiriguillo
  62

Due to the ignorance of its roots it is used to refer derogatingly to people who arrive from central-southern Mexico to Nuevo León, looking at their way of speaking so as not to confuse their royal countrymen of humble complexion, in the same way it is used to identify a person who does not understand sophisticated words used in northern Mexico such as: Troca ( truck ) , graina ( grinder ) , traila ( trailer ) , bironga ( beer ) , parking ( parking ) , dry air ( air conditioning A / C ) and many others that come from a bilingual culture superior to that of the rest of Mexico (illiterate) (which only understands Spanish-Mocho and Nahuatl)
