Principle of alternabilidad: the alternabilidad is a real possibility that the rulers change periodically through legal, mainly electoral mechanisms to certain parties or people do not perpetuate in power, which is essentially anti-democratic.This feature is a concrete expression of the so-called plurality, and implies the existence of political parties with different ideological doctrines that seek power, and generally alternate in their exercise as determined by the people through regular elections.The alternabilidad should not be confused with bipartisanship, which in fact is an aberration of the democratic system.
