Meaning of guapirrear by Zenuprofe

Zenuprofe

guapirrear
  34

Custom originating from the Zenú indigenous people in the savannahs of Sucre and Córdoba in Colombia and inherited by the half-breeds of this region, consisting of emitting gutural sounds of jubilation, emotion or encouragement in the face of a work or celebration with music of bagpipes, joint or fandango. It has its beginnings in the work of transporting livestock, since the custom is to emit these sounds so that, when listening to them, the semovientes can voluntarily move from an unstable place to a favorable place for livestock.
