Sust. MASC. Native songbird from North America and Central, in the order of the passerines, the mimidae family. He is supposed to be able to imitate any sounds: other birds, animals - including the human voice-, machines, etc. The Repertoire of an experienced male can consist of 50 to 200 songs. It referred to its genus and species, Mimus polyglottos: imitator of many languages and etymology, twice reduced its popular name, derived from the Nahuatl «cenzontlatoltótotl», consisting of «cenzontli»: four hundred, «tlatolli»: Word, and «tótotl»: bird. Phonetic variants: cenzonte, cinzonte, Mockingbird. He has improperly considered Nightingale.
