Topil comes from the Nahuatl language, derived from Topille which is the baton that rulers used. Tzin termination is of respect (the CUAUHTEMOC empreador was also called "CUAUHTEMOTZIN"). Topil is a kind of Prince or sheriff of the lowest rank, so its meaning is Prince. Sometimes translated as the little Prince. but the right thing is TOPILZIN
