It is one of the common names given to a tree in Colombia and Venezuela, which are known by other names such as: copaiba, palo tree oil, copai, copaibi, amacey, cabimbo, camibar, copayero, marano, tacamaca, Balsam. Its scientific name is Copaifera officinalis and belongs to the Fabaceae family. It has many medicinal uses.
