1º_ He is a popular voice in Spain for working. It has a caló origin in curelar, with the same meaning. 2º_ In the Rio de la Plata lunfardo, it was given a twist, and 'currar' was associated with "easy work, which gives good profit", which very soon became synonymous with stealing.
