It is one of the common names of a medium-sized bird of prey, which lives in southern Colombia and Ecuador. It is also called carunculated carancho, curiquinga, matamico parameño, matamico carunculado, caracara paramuno and caraca curiquingue. Its scientific name is Phalcoboenus carunculatus and it belongs to the family falconidae.
