Name of a bird or sacred bird in Mexico, which appears in one of the codices (Codex Borgia). It is a word of Nahuatl origin. It is estimated that it corresponds to the Caracara Cheriwey, of the family Falconidae. It is also known as Caracara, or northern-wide. In Mixtec is called its. Many also consider that it is a representation of the Royal Eagle.
