The Cowper's glands (bulbourethral) are the glands that produce pre-seminal fluid in the male reproductive system. They had already been described by French anatomist Jean Méry, but the detail was only published (or plagiarized?). in the late nineteenth century by his English colleague William Cowper, who gave them their name.
