In Biology and Botany it is the name of a genus of plants, which belongs to the family Asteraceae. Common name of several plants of the family Asteraceae, known as chocolate flower, matapiojos and also purple sunflower. Name of a series of artificial satellites of the Soviet Union (now Russia) and various satellite research programs. Some 2500 satellites with this name (in Russian Kocmoc) have been launched.
