A cervid mammal about 75 cm tall. It has reddish-gray fur. Its scientific name is Capreolus capreolus. It belongs to the Cervidae family. It is the smallest cervid in Eurasia.

From vulgar Latin "curtius", from the Latin "curtus": short, being of minor - 50 to 65 centimeters in height in cross - deer Europeans.
