choroid . ( Of the Gr. ?, leather-shaped). 1. f. Anat. Thin membrane, of more or less dark brownish, located between the sclera and the retina of the eyes of vertebrates. It has a rear opening which leads to the optic nerve and other larger, its anterior part, whose edges are continued with some misgivings surrounding the inner side of the Rainbow.
