It is one of the common names of a stilt bird, typical of South America. It is also named red corocora, corocora rufa, scarlet corocora, scarlet ibis, corocora, red heron, cider or guará. It is abundant in areas of aquatic influence. Its scientific name is Eudocimus ruber and belongs to the family Threskiornithidae .
