It means he looks like a condor. It is the common name of a climbing plant from the Southern Andes, of the Pacific Coast of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It has medicinal and culinary uses. It also receives the names of toad bejuco, condor bejuco, cundurango. Its scientific name is Marsdenia condurango and belongs to the family Apocynaceae. It has a very bitter taste.
